We couldn't make it to the Vivero so we chose to see the race in the last kilometer. We spent the whole last half an hour coming out and in of a nearby bar to see the race on TV. I also went on thursday to Noja to see the end of the race. To me, a fan who has been supporting Euskaltel and any rider in Luz Ardiden, Vuelta al País Vasco, Bicicleta Vasca, Gran Premio de Primavera, Subida a Urkiola, Gran Premio de Llodio... this was just one of the best days ever. I'm happy that the Vuelta came back to the Basque Country, now I hope that they invest money as well in some other minor races that we people who love cycling miss that much, because they spent a lot of money for the Vuelta to come back and we lost the Bicicleta Vasca and the Subida a Urkiola and the Vuelta al País Vasco or the GP Primavera are always risky to lose their budgets. I really hope that they don't forget that we also need that side of cycling. But, again, friday, it was just amazing.Holden Fiascohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08056650658939551395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35441987.post-8368751760329044142011-09-10T00:40:01.081+02:002011-09-10T00:40:01.081+02:00Nick, the commentator on ITV4 said it was his 4th ...Nick, the commentator on ITV4 said it was his 4th Vuelta and he had never seen crowds like that, it looked amazing.

If you are in the old town tonight I bet dawn comes before the party is close to over...enjoy!Stephennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35441987.post-16084114707067646222011-09-09T23:57:28.069+02:002011-09-09T23:57:28.069+02:00I was fortunate enough to attend, and will second ...I was fortunate enough to attend, and will second everything that Magnus said. The scene was fantastic, Igor was so happy I was convinced he was gonna be moves to tears id the podium ceremony went one minute longer.

Asides the annoying political protesters (some trying to covertly throw tacks in the road) the fans were fantastic, cheering passionately and politely the entire time. Great way to introduce the basque country back to the vuelta and im thrilled to have witnessed if firsthandNickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18036637981108756568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35441987.post-78081980596674136722011-09-09T22:53:03.880+02:002011-09-09T22:53:03.880+02:00That was awesome. I really hope they can win again tomorrow since the last day will more than likely come down to a sprint.azanca02https://www.blogger.com/profile/13491583425680607835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35441987.post-960589781391104402011-09-09T22:41:40.784+02:002011-09-09T22:41:40.784+02:00Wow, that was fantastic!!!

I love this team!Stephennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35441987.post-69753552284609774842011-09-09T21:29:25.454+02:002011-09-09T21:29:25.454+02:00What a victory:-) Igor deserves this victory after...What a victory:-) Igor deserves this victory after two weeks struggeling with his form. I said it before but like to repeat, what a great helper is Gorka Verdugo! He's the best domestic in the Euskaltel team and without a doubt one of the best domestics in the peleton. Unbelievable he hasn't even finished top 5 in a bycicle race. Congratiolations to Igor, Gorka and the whole team for this fantastic moment!Kristofnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35441987.post-69530265193296208542011-09-09T20:27:42.948+02:002011-09-09T20:27:42.948+02:00What a great day, I was afraid of Bruseghin all th...What a great day, I was afraid of Bruseghin all the way to the finish.
