Iban to lead Saunier as Marchante drops out

Iban will likely now lead the Saunier Duval team in the Tour, as Gómez Marchante won`t take to the start. Marchante is suffering from an "intestine disease", as Saunier`s homepage reported, and that will likely lead to Iban getting a lot of support in the mountains. Marchante was supposed to be Saunier`s man for the GC, but now most of the focus will be on Iban winning a stage in stead. David Cañada Gracia will replace Marchante.

Not sure if this is good for Iban, we all know he don't like to much pressure, and with Marchante out, a lot of pressure will for sure be on Iban...

  2. That`s true, thought of it myself. But, at least, he`ll get the help he needs in the mountains...

  4. He will be ready for the mountains... I dont think he is looking for an over all spot, since his time trialing isn't that great, unless it's up hill. I just want him to get at least a stage win.
