Laiseka believes in Iban

The retired Euskaltel legend Roberto Laiseka thinks Iban will show his good form on today`s stage. Laiseka, himself a legendary climber, said in his daily column in DEIA: "Also Mayo will be in the front group. The one of Saunier Duval is not going to wait for the Pyrenees (to attack), and if he`s got good legs he`ll show them of straight away". Seems I`m not the only one who thinks Iban`s capable of pulling of a win in the Alps.

I didn't see the stage (work :( ), but based on the result he did very good. He ended in the front of the big group, and that means he really was doing well.
Also, great performance by Landaluze, and Anton was not good today...

It will be hard for Iban to push Gerdemann out of the yellow, but I am sure he is able to :)

Good to see the result of the first mountain stage. You never know what Iban is going to do...

  2. Iban was at the very front all the time and looked calm and unaffected. He looked awesome to be honest.
I was in fact glad to see Igor lose time, as that may give him a possibility to go in a break one day and win a stage.
