ReplyDeleteTo be honest I cannot see the teams below them doing better than Euskaltel in Lombardia (which will be moved next year, a disgrace).
ReplyDeleteUnless its the sort of CQ ranking which also takes into account results of last year, but I don't think so.
But the teams below them are more than likely to sign riders with loads of points, while Euskaltel will not...
ReplyDeleteAre you sure it's not the last two years that counts? Isn't that what they did last year? But in the end, I guess UCI just pick out their favorites (from an economic point of view), and makes up some brand new rules to make it all fit...
ReplyDeleteAnd I totally agree, moving Lombardia is a huge disaster! It worked so nicely as the "season closer". I guess we'll have to enjoy it one last time mid-october this Saturday :(
