Just in: Samu out of Tour
Samu has been forced to pull out of the Tour de France on today's stage eight due to a crash.
Samu hit the deck along with Movistar's Alejandro Valverde about halfway through the 157,5km stage from Belfort to Porrentruy, and it was immediately clear it would be difficult for Samu to remount. The 34-year-old, in tears, seemed to suffer from a possible collarbone fracture and/or a dislocated shoulder, and was taken away in an ambulance.
The team is thus left with six riders in the race.
More on Samu's state as news come in.

Gorka Verdugo also...
This is quickly turning into the worst Tour ever, huh?
This simply is the worst tour ever... A tour to forget as soon as possible and looking forward to Vuelta is all we can do. Other problem is this will cost critical WT points...
TDF to me is no longer a cycling race, it's become a big circus. Next year someone might die maybe then the organisation can take its conclusions.
