Quartet signs on
As was expected, Gorka Verdugo, Rubén Pérez, Juan José Oroz and Miguel Minguez have prolonged their stays with the team.
So writes BiciCiclismo Monday afternoon. The four were reported to being close to extending their stays with the orange outfit ahead of the past weekend, and it now seems the four have put pen to paper on their respective deals. The length of their contracts was not revealed.
This latest development means the team now has 17 riders signed up for 2013:

The four riders not staying on for sure is Amets Txurruka, Iván Velasco, Alan Pérez (retired) and Víctor Cabedo (deceased).
The number of foreign riders to join naturally depends on whether Astarloza, Azanza and co. can reach an agreement with the team directors, but if they do, they would leave seven spots on the roster open to non-Basques as the team is likely to consist of 28 riders next year.

If it was up to me only Urtasun is a must have looking to the quartet who still have to sign. Azanza may stay, the others Astarloza and Cazaux I defenitely would like to leave.
Urtasun and Astarloza should re-sign.Very incertain for Cazaux and Azanza.
Why should Astarloza re-sign? How good is he, now he's riding clean? Don't think he's got one WT point... Azanza has a bit my sympathy since last TDF, surely is not a big talented guy but did what he could. Cazaux, well yes, think we all have the same opinion about it.

Astarloza, Azanza and Urtasun have to stay
All 4 have to stay if the other side is that place are filled with non-Basks.
Astarloza was riding very strong in the Vuelta, Kristoff. Always attacking and a powerfull work-horse.
Cazaux is one of the most attacking Euskaltel riders I know. Azanza is a worthy luitenant for Sanchez and we all know Urtasun.
Today I read maybe Gerdemann and Schulze are riding for Euskaltel in 2013.... :-(.

Anyone heard any talk in the papers or the press about this???
