But I hope its the same story as with the Giro...

He's got away with it once - now he's been stupid enough to do it again. I hope his team sack him immediately and he's never allowed back in the peleton ever again. Ban him for life.

I don't understand this at all. Was that his first test in Tour? What should we think about his 2003 and 2004 wins? And what about the Giro Stage? This is madness

what shocks me isn't that he was doped (I believe that 90%, maybe more, of the peleton are) but that he was stupid enough to get caught...again. sad.

I think this just proves that nearly everyone in elite level sport use some form of doping, but we only hear about those who get caught.
Maybe they should just allow it.

  10. I've never been really fond of Iban but he was from Euskaltel so I followed a bit and this really sucks :s another doping case and another punch for the tour de france :s

We have to wait for the "contra-expertise" but I think this wont bring much difference :(

Ugh. After years of bitter disappointment, we stick by this loser and now we find he's a doper? Goodness gracious, then at least ride like you are! I just joked in the wake of vino that of the 2003 TDF top 10, Mayo's among those still clear...although he doesn't ride like it. What a buffoon.

I am waiting only for a miracle. I hope that there would be an error somewhere.

I think this just goes to show that, despite their best efforts, the governing bodies are simply unable to rid the sport of drugs. Everyone knows the reputation of pro-cycling is now at a all time low so maybe, just maybe, it is now time to change tack and actually permit the use of certain performance enhancing drugs. Govern the useage (ie only use upto to a specified 'safe level' ??
