Euskaltel at their game in Romandie stage 2
Euskaltel put on a solid display in today's second stage of the Tour de Romandie, a 149km trek from Montbéliard to Moutiercon. On the uphill finish, none of the team's main contenders ceded any time towards the overall favourites.
Jonathan Hivert increased his reputation as a dangerous man on hilly terrain by pipping Rui Alberto Faria da Costa and Luisle Sánchez to the line. Just like yesterday, though, the guys in orange weren't far behind. Landa came home 14th and Verdugo 17th on the same time as the winner, while Astarloza, Martínez, García and Azanza also finished inside the main peloton.
