Samu selected for Olympics

Samuel Sánchez will get the chance to defend his Olympic Games gold medal from 2008 as he's one of five Spaniards picked by national team coach José Luis De Santos for the London Games, www.cicloweb.it reports.

Samu has been chosen alongside Rabobank's Luís León Sánchez, Katusha's Óscar Freire and Movistar duo Alejandro Valverde and José Joaquín Rojas. In other words the team everyone expected.

Samu will, alongside namesake Luís León, ride both the road race and the time trial. The former is held on July the 28th, while the race against the clock gets underway four days later.
