Strong start in Andalucía for Izagirre
Ion Izagirre once again showed his pedigree against the clock with a strong prologue at the Vuelta a Andalucía on Sunday.
The 59th edition of the race kicked off with a six-kilometre long prologue in San Fernando de Cádiz, a discipline of course not traditionally suited to Galdeano's charges. Ion Izagirre showed he's still going strong after a solid start to the year, clinching 13th at only 12 seconds from victor Alejandro Valverde.
Gorka Verdugo also posted a respectable time with 36th, while crono specialist Ioannis Tamouridis came in 59th.
