Vrecer breaks collarbone on debut
Robert Vrecer got the most unlucky of Euskaltel debuts today, crashing and breaking his collarbone in the Trofeo Palma.
The 32-year-old hit the ground inside the last three laps of the ten loops that made up the Challenge Mallorca opener, and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. While reports suggest he's yet to actually be diagnosed with a clavicle fracture, everything points towards it.
The Slovenian is thus likely to have to take a few days off the bike before resuming training. There's been no communiqué from the team as of yet, though, so all reports are at this time unofficial.
