Euskaltel repeat E3 no-show in Wevelgem
Euskaltel did like they did on Friday in E3 Harelbeke by failing to get a rider across the line in the prestigious WorldTour-ranked Gent-Wevelgem on Sunday.
Euskaltel were notorious for their lack of presence in the weather-shortened and bitingly cold 75th edition of the race. 'The carrots' didn't put a single rider in the big 60-something group that got away early on in the day and eventually stayed away, leading the whole team to abandon.
Full results here.
According to the team, the riders were "caught off guard at the start of the race", a start that led to a "very anonymous performance". On a brighter note, though, none of the riders are reported to have hit the ground or suffered any meaningful injuries.
Entirely to script, Peter Sagan stormed to the win by going solo inside the final four kilometres. Second place went to Borut Bozic of Astana ahead of BMC's Greg Van Avermaet.

I was quite sure that in the bunch of new recruits we would have taken points for UCI but NOT QUALITY.
But what the new arrivals have done so far is a "VERGUENZA" !
Right so far, but not only the new ones are a vergüenza!
