Status quo in France

Not a lot to write about on behalf of Euskaltel today. The fifth stage went by without any major incidents (for once!). Everyone but JJ and Alán came in with the pack. The duo is still struggling with injuries sustained these last two days. The former came in 1:18 down while the latter ended up 2:27 down. The temperatures reached the high 30's today, something Samu was not particularly fond of. "The heat was suffocating", the captain said. "Every day there's something that makes the race even harder.
