Orbea rider picked for l'Avenir
Orbea rider Haritz Orbe has been selected to represent Spain in the upcoming Tour de l'Avenir.
The 21-year-old first-year Orbea rider has been chosen alongside fellow Basque Ibai Salas of Caja Rural, Salas' highly-promising team-mate Rubén Fernández, Carlos Verona, who at 19 is the youngest pro in the pack, of Burgos-BH, Diputación de Ávila-Smileekers prodigy Víctor Martín and 21-year-old Cantabrian Jesús Ezquerra of Leopard-Trek Continental.
Orbe of Azkoitia in Gipuzkoa has enjoyed a decent maiden season among the pros, but is yet to crack the top ten in a race this year. Last year's winner of the San Isidro Sari Nagusia amateur classic in Natxitua will embark on the prestigious French stage-race this coming Sunday.
