Team confirmed for Tour of Britain

As has been known for a while now, Samuel Sánchez will use the Tour of Britain to fine-tune his form for the World Championships - his biggest goal for the remainder of 2012. Here's the five riders likely to be accompanying him from September 9-16: Víctor Cabedo, Egoi Martínez, Miguel Minguez, Adrián Sáez and Pablo Urtasun.

It will be Samuel Sánchez's first ever participation in the race, and, I'm not mistaken, his first ever race in Great Britain. The 34-year-old was not part of the Euskaltel line-up in the 2007 edition of the Tour de France that started in London, and he was of course absent from the Olympic Games this summer.

Euskaltel have only participated in the race once, back in 2009, when Javier Aramendía was the team's top overall finisher in 19th.
