Aitor Galdos Alonso

Aitor Galdos Alonso joined Euskaltel from Italian Professional Continental team Ceramica Panaria - Navigare this year. The 27 year-old Galdos is known as talented sprinter; last year winning two mass-sprints. Galdos started his career in 2004 at Italian team Nippo, before going on to ride for Panaria the last two years. On his palmarès you can find two wins, both from 2006; stage 1 in Post Danmark Rundt, and stage 1 in the Tour de la Region Wallonne. These victories definetely show what Galdos is capable of, beating high-level fields, and Igor Gonzalez de Galdeano and Miguel Madariaga brought him in for the mass-sprints and for the classics. He`s a strong all-rounder, and I reckon he will enjoy huge success with Euskaltel. Together with Isasi and Fernandez, Euskaltel now have a quite good team for the sprints.
