Alvaro pleased with Bayern performance

Euskaltel came away from the Bayern Rundfahrt with a stage-win, two days in the leader's jersey and ninth and tenth overall. Not too bad according to director Alvaro González de Galdeano: "I'm very pleased with our performance in this race. The team as a unit worked well, everyone did their part, and to top it off we got a win and got to spend two days in the leader's jersey. And it's important to remember that it's the most important German stage-race now, and it was a high level of competition. We have been one of the most active teams and we achieved our goal of a stage-win. In addition, Igor and Romain ended up among the ten best overall. The sole negative has been Koldo's fall on day one, but we kept going".
