No fracture for Landa
An MRI scan earlier this week revealed that Mikel Landa's right collarbone was not fractured in his run-in with a cow in the Dauphiné last week, the rider himself told the Efe news agency. The rather unusual encounter was thought to have broken his right collarbone for the second time this year, but the young climber is now looking to be back in competition "in a week or two" after the positive news discarded any serious damage. Landa is not slated for the Tour this year, but might be able to take part in the nationals coming up next weekend in Castellón. A return-date has not yet been set as the rider is waiting for the results of a second scan. Stay tuned for further news on his condition.
