Bilbao 2nd; increases Torneo Sub-23 lead

Excellent young prospect Pello Bilbao further strengthened his lead in the Torneo Sub-23 rankings yesterday. The sylf-like climber took second to a completely dominant Alexander Ryabkin of Caja Rural in yesterday's San Román Saria de Muxika. Ryabkind made it into the decisive six-man move early on along with Naturgas pair Aitor Ocampos and Igor Merino and soloed home for the win while the rest of the group was usurped by a hard-chasing pack. Best of that pack was Pello Bilbao who outsprinted Marcos Miguel of Soplao and Ryabkin's team-mate Francisco Javier Moreno to take second. Completing a good day for the team, Igor Merino hung on to take an impressive sixth place.
