Euskaltel spectators in ENECO

ENECO Tour's stage three was an altogether subdued one for Euskaltel as they missed out on the break of the day and didn't mix it up in the sprint finish.

The riders were intent on making the break after yesterday's horrendous team time trial, but a four-man group got up the road with no orange in it and from then on it was pretty much all about just getting through the day unscathed. Ion Izagirre and co. all came in safe and sound with the pack, except for a weary Adrián Sáez who ended up 2:33 in arrears.

Pablo Urtasun handed over his combativity jersey to 23-year-old Belgian Laurens De Vreese of Topsport Vlaanderen - Mercator. Urtasun grabbed the last pair of points on offer at the day's first sprint, but is now ranked fourth in that competition, 15 points off De Vreese's 32.
