Tirreno finale

Jon Izagirre ended the Tirreno-Adriatico on a high today as he clung onto his impressive 16th overall. The youngster finished a distant 51st on the 9,3km ITT, but did more than enough to hold off Daniel Moreno in 17th. Amets Txurruka also had enough in the tank to defend his decent 26th on GC, while Juan José Oroz finished up 33rd.

Stage results:
  • (1, Fabian Cancellara, RadioShack-Nissan-Trek)

Great result for young Jon, these lads will have good and bad results as they mature but they are the future and I think it is a very bright one indeed.
